The "Curl for Cancer 2007" will soon be played. All entries should be in by February 3rd. The first 16 teams are accepted. This is your chance to have a lot of fun curling and to help a very worthy cause. The club has supported the Curl for Cancer fun spiel for several years and is doing so again.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 10th, rain or shine. The entry fee is $60 per team. Teams can be made up of 4 to 6 participants. Individuals are also encouraged to enter. The organizers will find you a team. Each team is encouraged to have at least one non-curler. All registration fees and pledged donations will be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
This is a fun spiel only. After a good day of curling everyone will be a winner. For more information and to get pledge forms, contact Chris Moore at 584-4245 or Sue Morrison at 584-4049. Come out, have fun and contribute to finding a cure for cancer.
Friday night social curling continues with the next gathering being on February 2nd. Curling will start at 7.30pm. It is not too late to discover curling for yourself. Beginners who have never curled before are very welcome. The club has made a special fee of $6.00 for Friday night curling. People just have to bring clean in-door running shoes. We will supply the rocks and the brooms. Make plans to come out on Friday evening.
