"Enjoy the autumn forest on an 8 km. roundtrip walk to High Falls on the Barron River in Algonquin Park. The trail follows an abandoned logging road and offers a pleasant hike. Bring a lunch to enjoy at the Falls.

We will meet at 9:30 AM at the Valu Mart parking lot in Deep River to carpool and offer drives to the Sand Lake Gate on the Achray Road. There, we will meet other Renfrew County walkers and drive off in convoy at 11 AM to the trail head, where parking is available. The turn off is the first left shortly after the Brigham Lake sign at km. 33.
