Grim news of Bovlov from NikkiFrom: Nicola To: l.m.d.cranswick@dl.ac.uk Subject: RE: Greetings from the USA Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2002 10:51:57 +1000 Yo Lachlan, I hope you're sitting down as I have some bad news for you. Bovlov has gone to his final resting place. No more will he frolic in the sunlit streets of Melbourne or make the "bang-bang" noises to signal his "joi de vivre". After a brief stay of execution - someone almost bought him but sobered up at the last minute - Bovlov was driven to his final resting place so close to his last place of happiness with you Lachlan: a wreckers in Heidleberg Heights. In the finest military tradition of dishonourable discharge (remember the bang-bang noises?), Bovlov was stripped of his headlight surrounds, his grill, his badges and, of course, his groovy reading lights. The spirit of Bovlov will live on as Jack's bed is transformed into a car by the mounting of said bits onto its foot board. Somewhere in the distance on a cold night a ghostly "bang-bang" may be heard as Bovlov "brushes his teeth" once more in a better world than this one. On a more cheerful note, we'll be moving house on the 26th July. Don't know yet what the new phone number will be. Despite the fact that we're moving about 5 minutes away from where we are it is not possible to keep our phone numbers... Inel is now free so I'd better go and may X-rays while the sun shines. See ya in Geneva Nikki |
